MINUTES OF THE BLIZZARD SNOWMOBILE CLUB

 

July 7 2008 at the Groomer Shed

Roman opened the meeting with 12 people present.   

 

The minutes were read and approved with one change.

 

Treasurer report –  Ed Langford.          

Dale made the motion to approve the Treasurer’s report, which was seconded by Lee and carried.

     

Trails Report -   Greg Gellert

The bridge is done.  Thank you Brian and Norm for engineering the bridge and all the people who helped with the project.

The cost for foam the groomer tires came in lower than expected.

 

Legislative & MN USA Report

MN-USA Campout at St. Criox Haven Campground, Hinckley – July 11-13.

Need input on MNUSA membership dues.  These have not been raised in 10 years and need to be raised to cover MNUSA expenses. 

 

Old Business

      No new information has been received from PUC regarding different lights in the building.

Brent is looking into the cost for changing the club site to a new web page.  A committee, Brent, Roman, Lee and Brad) will look into it.

 

New Business

      The race committee will start working on the map ads and other race items.

Tickets from the Sno-Barons’ for the Annual Hay Day Race, for a chance on four different snowmobiles, are available for members to purchase or sell.  Please remember that 85 cents of each dollar ticket sold goes to our club.  This is an easy way to help support the Blizzard Snowmobile club.

     

Reminder of these upcoming events:

 ·        Club Picnic – Saturday July 19^th at 1:00 pm at Amber Lake Park.  5:30 meal – Please bring a dish to pass. Plates, silverware, a grill and beverages will be provided.

 

·        Next Club meeting is August 4th at the Groomer shed, 7:30 pm.
